Modular Ski/snowboard Carry
Raide packs are designed to carry skis four different ways: diagonal ski, skimo, a-frame, and vertical snowboard.
Air Supply for 90 minutes
A lighter and smaller alternative to an airbag. The SBX system provides an active air supply for 90 minutes in the event of an avalanche without having to put anything in your mouth. It works by circulating fresh air from the surrounding snowpack, flushing out carbon dioxide that has been exhaled, and delaying asphyxia. The fresh air is pulled in with an electronic fan unit and circulated around the mouth through tubes installed in each shoulder strap.
Reasons we are excited about Safeback:
β’ It can easily be turned off so it can be activated pre-emptively.
β’ Works for treewell burials.
β’ The SBX system can be removed and takes up only .75L in the pack vs. the 4-6L of a typical airbag pack.
β’ No mouthpiece required.
β’ Significantly lighter than airbag systems.
Avy Tool Pockets
Raide packs prioritize quick access to your avalanche tools, and really quick access to your probe, while also improving the space efficiency and bringing the tools closer to your center of mass.
The probe can be accessed without taking your pack off for quicker rescues and more efficient snow study.
The shovel can be accessed by dropping one shoulder strap. The pocket is made to accommodate shovels up to 112" in width and most large shovel handles.
By putting the probe and shovel handle on the packβs side panels, we maximize space efficiency and bring the weight closer to your center of mass.
Probe Pocket
Easily access your probe without taking off your pack via a separate compartment. Quick access allows probing while skiing when crossing glaciers and navigating crevasse terrain.
Ice Tool Carry
The ice tool carry keeps the picks of your tools fully enclosed and secure so they don't snag or fall out. The ice tool carry is designed so that you can pull an axe out without removing your pack.
Modular Ski Carry
Raide packs are designed to carry skis four different ways: diagonal ski, skimo, a-frame, and vertical snowboard.
Expandable Rolltop
Expand the pack capacity from 40L to 50L, making it a great choice for day tours as well as multi-day hut trips.
Back-panel Access
The only way to get access to all of your gear regardless of how you are carrying your skis. We think back panel access is essential to any expedition ski pack built for moving efficiently in the mountains. The frame and backpanel construction work together to create a seamless zipper interface, decreasing the time and effort it takes for you to reach your gear.
Removable SBX System
SBX works by pulling in fresh air with an electronic fan unit which is then circulated around the mouth through tubes installed in each shoulder strap. The SBX system can be easily removed and re-installed in a few minutes giving you a super versatile pack.
Padded Shoulder Straps
8mm of foam padding in the shoulder straps supports the heavy loads carried on expeditions and increases comfort over long days.
Glove Stash
Easily stash your gloves while touring on an integrated strap on the shoulders, keeping them easy to take on and off without interupting your flow.
Back-panel Design
The back panel is one of our packβs biggest innovations. We developed a molded composite insert with anti-bulge ribs that lock its shape, even when the pack is maxed out. Itβs stiff horizontally to keep pressure off your spine and maintain airflow as designed, yet flexes vertically for easy access and natural movement.
Raide means steep in, inspired by what makes mountain objectives the most memorable to us. Raide makes premium equipment for efficient human-powered movement in the mountains.
