We felt like the perfect ski touring pant didn't exist so we made it. The TourTech Bib presents the best of both worlds offering a breathable softshell fabric in the upper half and a waterproof, breathable hardshell in the lower half. This allows your high output areas to breathe, while the areas that interface with the snow more frequently have waterproofness.

Hybrid Materials
Body mapped breathability
Body mapped breathability

Breathability and weather protection where you need it. The TourTech bib is 69% softshell and 31% hardshell. Hardshell on the lower leg gives you protection for trail breaking, kneeling and bootpacking while not sacrificing breathability due to the ample 20 CFM softshell.

Perforated Bib
Ultrabreathable bib for comfort
Ultrabreathable bib for comfort

We were tired of other brand making a "touring bib" with non-breathable materials up to your chest. We like a bib for comfort so nothing is around our waist constricting movement or getting pushed down from your pack, but it needed to be breathable so we laser cut holes into it.

Beacon Pockets
Pocket and clip on both sides
Pocket and clip on both sides

Internal beacon pocket in both pockets with a webbing loop sewn into the side seam of the pant for extra security to clip your beacon.

Bomber Kickpatch
Kevlar Cuff Guard Material
Kevlar Cuff Guard Material

We didn't skimp on the kickpatch. The kickpatch is 23% kevlar and wraps the entire hem of the pant to stand up to whatever you throw at it from crampons to long dry approaches.

Drop Seat
Go #2 easily
Go #2 easily

Drop seat allows you to easily go to the bathroom without taking your layers or suspenders off.

Venting
Thigh vents on both sides
Thigh vents on both sides

Vents on the outer legs, shifted slightly towards the back for high output tours.

Gaiter
Power strap pass through on gaiter
Power strap pass through on gaiter

2 zippered slits in the gaiter allow you to pass your booster strap through so you don't have to lift your gaiter on transitions. This also keeps your gaiter down bootpacking. If you don't use them you can just keep the zipper closed.

Freeride Fit Cuff
Cuff fits over most touring boots
Cuff fits over most touring boots

We built the cuff to fit over most touring boots and their walk mode levers (including the Zero G Tour Pro), but also added a zip to pass the walk mode lever through for boots with a protruding lever.

Materials
No sag 2-way stretch softshell
No sag 2-way stretch softshell

We chose a 2 way stretch softshell so it stretches horizontally in your stride, but doesn't stretch vertically so it has no sag with weight in your pockets.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

We research and develop for steep terrain. We believe that the best gear isn’t dependant on any one variable, like being the lightest, but a combination of style, weight, durability, and functionality to address a certain need.

Best bib ever!

Designed by and for mountain athletes, these are the best bibs I've owned and perfect for how I like to move in the mountains. I love to push hard on both the skin track and the boot pack and regularly spend long days climbing and skiing here in the Tetons. The “bib” is perfectly low cut so as not to contribute to overheating when pushing hard but, kind of like a cycling bib, is positioned perfectly above the waist to allow for totally unrestricted breathing when you’re really hammering. Love the mix of lightweight soft-shell up top and hard shell down low. The fit allows for fantastic and unrestricted range of motion. The vent zips allow for wide open air circulation which is perfect for dumping heat in the quads. Love the two cargo pockets for gels, phone, beacon, glove liners, or whatever suits you. I’m a slender 5’11”, 156 lbs, with a 32 waist. The med fit perfectly. Thanks for designing and building a great product!

Great initial impressions

Review is for fit and initial impressions: ordered size large/regular in tan and they fit perfectly. For reference, I’m a 34/32 pant size, 6’ tall, with thick upper legs. Very high quality construction and the features seem fantastic, a significant step up from my OR Cirque IIs. The fabric feels very nice and the upper soft shell fabric is thinner than your typical soft shell.

The quality definitely seems commensurate with the price.

Actually, best ski touring pant ever.

Raide TourTech Pant
I’ve put them through the wringer in Colorado and Wyoming so far.
12-15 days then all day 10 days straight storm skiing and powder-mountaineering in Tetons.

-Freedom of movement. Zero binding or twisting.
-Most breathable ski pant I’ve owned, combined with snow and weather protection I’m always dry while winter storm skiing.
-Styling on point- relaxed fit looks free, yet clean for crampons and harnesses.
-Bib fit at waist and Torso fitted so no bunching and better breathability under pack belt and all day comfort through apres.
-Pant leg easily fits over big boots.
-Phone Sleeves in each side pocket to keep Phone/transceiver/DVA in a perfect unrestrictive position.
-Long vents to dump heat while charging uphill to ski more.
-Reverse fly so you don’t have to dig for the zipper with Pack waist belt buckled.
-The Longs are long.

Verdict:
The Raide TourTech pant is the most comfortable, stylish, most breathable and protective Ski touring blonde 28 years of getting after it out there.

Might actually be the best touring pants

I have never liked touring in bibs before but I thought I would give these a go as I love my raide pack and they seemed well thought out… Tirbs out I love them. I am tall and skinny so getting bibs to fit has usually been difficult, but the medium tall fits great. The fabric feels light and very breathable, I do open the side zips but they are the least sweaty pants for high exertion skinning I have used so far.

I was a bit worried about how they would work in cold wind but I have toured in the single digits with ridge top winds and been comfortable (with a light base layer underneath).

The pockets are huge and the phone/ beacon sleeves are just the right size. The bib section feels light and not hot at all so far. The only issue I gave had is with the press studs that hold the drop seat closed, I have often found them undone and once had the drop seat open while trying to gently my right leg. It would be great to have some Velcro on a longer tab here to stop that from happening.

I have tried a lot of different pants for touring over the years (norrona were my go to as their sizing works better for me than most US brands), but so far these are my favorite! They are definitely not cheap but are very well made and in my opinion are worth the cost if they are within your budget.

One bib to rule them all

My previous tour pants did double duty as a resort pant as well. Typical market offering: 4-way stretch, leg vents, 2 pockets. That’s about it.

I was an early adopter on what Raide was into with their packs and love the effort Kyle puts into feedback from the field. Living in CO I figure his team is providing perfect feedback for my use cases.

My first tours with the Raide bibs have been stellar. Much more comfortable in all conditions while moving. The initial fit was between a M/L (my hips fit the L but everything else showed M). My recommendation if between any sizes is to size up and adjust based on the multiple inseam options to account for any length. These have converted me to “Team Bib” and can’t wait to be out in them again.
